It can be so tempting to have faith
to think that love remains unsullied
despite the bullshit in our lives
that holding on to each other
has the power
to make the world stop.
But in the wrong hands
love can become tarnished too.
And sometimes, it's not possible
to make it pure again.
I hope it's possible for me.
Hearts always seem to be unrepentant idealists.
